This CD would be a great companion piece with another compilation, "Goin' South," which maybe repeats "Tuff Enuff" only. And with another budget CD, "The Best of Southern Rock," on Polygram's Rebound Records label. These three CDs could be the soundtrack for your next keg party in the woods, pig roast or even a tailgate party at a NASCAR race/5(3).

Rebel Rousers: Southern Rock Classics isn't the definitive collection suggested by its title, but it still manages to offer a pretty decent overview of this oft-neglected genre. This compilation primarily consists of the Southern rock tunes that managed to cross over to pop radio. That might sound limiting, but the tunes chosen here represent a pretty diverse cross section of material Missing: Flatlands.
