By Jack Sharkey, August 18, Social conscience began to creep into our collective MTV-fueled soundtrack. Sure, there were tons of songs about love, lust and all of that.

8-track may be one of the only formats to get this unique album in Chicago's history. The Hot Streets album was unique in that it was not given the numeric title that had been the band's trademark, and featured group members on the cover rather than some conception of the group's legendary logo.

The house was the site of frequent basement jam sessions with Unrest, Butch Willis & The Rocks, and other local bands. Those sessions inspired Jonny to form his own band. After hearing a tape of the song “I'm Not An Anorexic,” Teen Beat released their debut album in This is the band's first album .

Dec 11,  · The album "Lester's Time Has Come" is a work in progress. We'll be working on the album, and the art as this campaign rolls along. We hope to keep you as looped into the process as much possible. We'll send updates your way, and let you know if there are any delays in production.

PATTI SMITH GROUP - "My Generation" (Arista) (45 rpm):: The "A" side, "Gloria," you've heard; it's "Generation" (recorded live in Cleveland, Ohio with John Cale on bass) that you'll want to own this for. The band is loose, even sloppy--Patti is so stoned she can't even remember the third verse, Cale is so drunk that the bass solo sounds like.
