A Taste of Extreme Divinity is a very good album, better than 's Arrival and equal to the band's self-titled disc. Ultimately, though, Hypocrisy are destined to forever be a band known to cognoscenti of Swedish death metal, and largely unknown to the wider metal scene.7/

Oct 26,  · Hypocrisy has remained remarkably consistent, blending good melodic melody structures and mid-paced death metal with more brutal parts, creating a sound that is absolutely Hypocrisy and is ultimately awesome every time. A Taste of Extreme Divinity pretty much picks up where Virus left off. The production is very similar, but the album itself is.

I've been a loyal fan of Hypocrisy from very early on when they were not much known in the scene. This album is good, but a bit of a grower. The production might be the best - great sound overall. Things are good at first - the album comes out with two great songs, rips, shreds, thunders. The rest of the songs take some time to get used to/5(6).
