Stream In Concert by Gerry Mulligan Quartet and tens of millions of other songs on all your (live in Paris) by Gerry Mulligan Quartet. Listen Now $ 9. Love In New Orleans (live in Paris) The latter features Gerry on baritone with Brookmeyer on piano. Apparently these tracks were never issued on LP, too much for 1 LP and not /5(4).

The most famous and probably greatest jazz baritonist of all time, Gerry Mulligan was a giant. A flexible soloist who was always ready to jam with anyone from Dixielanders to the most advanced boppers, Mulligan brought a somewhat revolutionary light sound to his potentially awkward and brutal horn and played with the speed and dexterity of an altoist.

Dec 11,  · This record marked the fruitful beginning of both Gerry Mulligan's West Coast piano-less sound and the Pacific Jazz Records label. Both would do much to popularize the laid-back, more academic sound of jazz that blew in from the Coast. All of that began in with this album. The Music Tune: "Walkin' Shoes" Recorded:
